Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-096 is to be contained within a 5 m x 5 m x 5 m steel cube at all times. The walls of the containment chamber must be constructed of reinforced ballistic steel at least 25 cm thick. The chamber is to be monitored by closed-circuit cameras at all times, and personnel are to be stationed at a control room outside the containment area to ensure continuous observation.
Access to SCP-096's containment chamber is restricted to Level 4 personnel or higher, and all personnel entering the chamber must wear soundproofed goggles or other visual aids to prevent accidental viewing of SCP-096's face. Under no circumstances should any images, video footage, or recordings of SCP-096's face be captured or transmitted. Any such instances must be immediately confiscated and destroyed.
In the event of a containment breach, Protocol 096-Delta "Shy Guy" must be initiated. This protocol involves the deployment of Foundation agents equipped with sound-based distraction devices and tranquilizers to subdue SCP-096 and return it to containment. Civilians who witness SCP-096's face during a breach are to be administered amnestics and released following debriefing.
Description:
SCP-096 is a humanoid entity measuring approximately 2.38 meters in height and weighing approximately 147 kg. It exhibits a largely featureless appearance, with pale skin and a lack of any discernible facial features. SCP-096 displays a docile and non-aggressive demeanor when left undisturbed.
SCP-096's primary anomalous trait manifests when an individual views its face directly, either in person or through visual recordings. Upon being viewed, SCP-096 will enter a state of extreme emotional distress and begin to exhibit highly aggressive behavior. SCP-096 will then proceed to pursue and attack the individual who viewed its face, relentlessly tracking them across any distance until the individual is terminated.
SCP-096 has been observed to possess incredible strength and speed, capable of breaching fortified structures and traversing long distances in pursuit of its target. Attempts to terminate SCP-096 during a rage state have proven largely ineffective, with the entity displaying remarkable resilience to conventional weaponry.
