Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-035 is to be contained within a hermetically sealed glass case at all times, with a locked steel frame surrounding it. The case must be monitored by at least two Level 4 personnel at all times via closed-circuit cameras. Any personnel entering SCP-035's containment chamber must undergo psychological screening and be equipped with full hazmat suits and respiratory gear.
Interaction with SCP-035 is strictly prohibited without prior approval from Site Command. Any personnel exhibiting unusual behavior or signs of possession by SCP-035 must be quarantined immediately, and containment procedures outlined in Protocol 035-Delta must be initiated.
SCP-035 is to be kept in isolation from all other SCPs, with no physical contact allowed between SCP-035 and any living organisms. Experimentation involving SCP-035 requires Level 4 clearance and must be conducted under strict supervision with appropriate safety measures in place.
Description:
SCP-035 appears to be a white porcelain comedy mask, similar in appearance to those used in the Greek theater. The mask exhibits no anomalous properties when not worn, but when placed on the face of an individual, it will bond with their skin and become impossible to remove.
Once bonded to a host, SCP-035 will begin to exert a powerful influence over their thoughts and behavior, gradually corrupting them over time. Subjects under the influence of SCP-035 will experience heightened feelings of euphoria and pleasure, often expressing a desire to wear the mask for extended periods.
SCP-035's influence extends beyond mere psychological manipulation, as it has been observed to possess knowledge of historical events and secrets that its host could not possibly know. Additionally, SCP-035 has been known to engage in conversation with its host, often using persuasive tactics to manipulate them into carrying out its wishes.
Despite its seemingly benign appearance, SCP-035 has demonstrated a malevolent and sadistic nature, often encouraging its hosts to engage in violent or destructive behavior. Subjects under SCP-035's influence have been known to exhibit psychotic and homicidal tendencies, posing a significant threat to themselves and others.
